Alice Bag

As the co-founder and lead singer of The Bags in the mid-‘70s, Alice Bag is one of the pioneering figures of the punk movement. The Los Angeles native is also an accomplished author who has published two books: the critically acclaimed memoir Violence Girl, and Pipe Bomb for the Soul, based on her experiences in post-revolutionary Nicaragua. With her debut solo EP now in stores, Bag hung out within what’s left of The Masque, the infamous Hollywood punk venue where she first cut her teeth decades ago, to talk about her colorful life.
